HPU Distance Education: Himachal Pradesh University was established in the year 1970. It is a state government university that is financed by the government of Himachal Pradesh and the University Grant Commission (UGC). The University is accredited by NAAC with an A grade. Currently, it is located in Summer Hill, Shimla. It includes 12 faculties and 30 educational departments offering programs in management, engineering & technology, commerce, vocational studies, law, language, and IT, and more.
In 1971, Himachal Pradesh University set up a directorate of correspondence courses, and now it is referred to as the Centre of Distance and online education (CDOE- formally known as ICDEOL). HPU Distance Education Diploma Course 2025
Admissions are ongoing for all diploma courses in HPU distance education for 2025. Students can register by filling up an admission form uploaded on the official website of the university. CDOE-HPU offers diplomas in yoga studies, tourist guide, data science, and computer applications. Minimum eligibility requires students to pass a 10+2 examination or a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university with 50% aggregate and 45% for the SC/ST category.
