Anna University Distance Education offers various courses to candidates through the distance education mode. Students can apply for admission through the official website portal for the July 2025 session. There are many courses offered in the PG program, such as Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Applications, and Master of Computer Applications. To be able to apply, students are required to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. For the PG course admission, a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% marks(40% for reserved category). The Anna University MBA course in several specializations such as Technology Management, HRM, Health Service Management, General Management etc. For distance education courses, Anna University requires the DEET (Distance Education Entrance Test) entrance examination as the primary test for admission in distance education programs. 

The entire Application process is online through the CDE official website. The average fee structure for offered courses ranges between INR 25,000 to INR 30,000. The average duration of a postgraduate course is 2 years (4 semesters).

MBA Distance Education Course

The Master of Business Administration is a 2-year course. The minimum requirement for this course is a bachelor’s degree. There are many specializations offered in this course, like Marketing Management, Financial Service Management and Operations Management, Technology Management, HRM, Health Service Management, and  General Management. There are 4 semesters in this course. Candidates must clear the DEET entrance exam before applying for this course.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA)

Master of Computer Applications is a 2-year course. To get admission in this course, a candidate must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and engineering, or any other relevant degree with similar subjects. The candidate should have secured an aggregate of 50% marks in the undergraduate program. This course is divided into 4 semesters. Candidates have to qualify for the Distance Education Entrance Test (DEET), to be eligible for admission.

Master of Science in Computer Applications
The minimum requirement for admission to an MSc (CS) course is a UG degree with mandatory subjects like Mathematics or Statistics. It should be the core subject at either the (10+2) or (10+2+3) level. Candidates should have secured at least 50% marks. The degree must be obtained from a recognized university. It is a 2-year course that is further divided into 4 semesters. Candidates have to clear the DEET examination to be considered for admission.

Anna University Distance Education Fees Details

The average fee structure for courses offered through Distance Education Mode is INR 31,150/-. For the first semester, the fee for these courses is INR 18,650, and then for the other semester is INR 12,500/-. Apart from total fees, there are other components of fees, such as Admission fees, Registration fees, Refundable Caution deposits, Learning Material fees, etc.

2. Registration: Register yourself by creating a new account. Use your Name, Email, and Contact details to get yourself registered as a new user.
3. Application Form: Fill out the Application Form. It will require information about your academic background, personal information, and course preferences. Fill it carefully.
4. Select Specialization: Choose and select the course of your liking. Also, select the specialization that you want to apply for. 
5. Upload Documents: Scan and upload all the required documents on the site, while filling out the form. Only scan the Original documents, as they will be verified later.
6. Fee Payment: Pay the Application fee of INR 767/- by using any online payment mode such as UPI, Debit or Credit Card, Net Banking etc. 
7. Submit Application Form: Review your application form and check for any discrepancies. If found, modify it and then submit the application form.
8. Save and Download Copies: Download a copy of the Application form and print it for future reference. Also, save the fee receipt for later, as it will be required for later.
